PPE for Fall Arrest

Print PDF

harnesscheck

Employers and users must ensure the equipment supplied and used is fit for purpose.  Instructions for use must be provided through the manufacturers, but there is  no industry standard generic course which covers all components of a fall arrest system.  In many situations, users will employ a harness from one supplier and a lanyard from another.

Shire4Education deliver non manufacturer specific courses on the utilisation, limitations and inspection of PPE for Fall Arrest.  This means that candidates will benefit from a rounded perspective of working, inspecting, maintaining and using harnesses and ancillary PPE for Fall Arrest.

The course covers legal responsibilities and risk assessment/hazard management through to use and inspection of equipment and rescue procedures.
